If you have a lovely, light, bright home office like Executive Coach Annette from ic-Coach, this is the obvious starting point for your brand photo shoot as your personality, brand and values will already be stamped all the way through it.

A home office also offers a great space for those behind the scenes and storytelling photos that connect so well with your audience.

If you are a creative, like artist and graphic designer like Laura from The Inky Giraffe, then your creative working space offers the perfect base for your brand shoot.

With all your tools to hand, and the results of your creativity, we can capture first-hand the passion and magic you pour into every item you create for your clients.

Where do you get creative when working on your business?

If you work from other spaces, they could offer a great spot for your brand photo shoot, or there are plenty of co-working or office spaces out there you can hire for a reasonable hourly fee.

Trauma Coach, Jodie, hired a treatment room in Brighter Spaces Guildford. With lots of different room layouts to choose from, we chose one that included a desk area, seating area and who’s colours complemented Jodie’s brand.

This enabled us to do several set-ups in one space including the photo taken below or Jodie holding a 121 coaching conversation.

Do you ever work from a co-working space?

Perhaps the set up you have at home doesn’t feel quite right for your brand photos and you need a bit more light and space?

Finding a hotel that has a backdrop, style and colour palette that compliments your brand could be the perfect option.

Angela had her brand shoot at the delightful Gorse Hill in Woking where we had the beautiful lounge and garden to ourselves. With a modern, but neutral backdrop, this was perfect for Angela’s coaching business.

Do you have a nice hotel near to you that could work for your brand shoot?

If nature is a big part of your life and ethos, like Mindset and Outdoor Coach Cathrine of HeatenSoul Coaching, then choosing an outside brand shoot location is the obvious choice.

Lightwater country park is one of my favourite Woking brand photo shoot locations, as it offers a diverse range of backdrops in a contained area.

Is nature and being outside an important part of your business or daily routine?

Another outdoor location could be by the water, whether that’s a river, lake, pond or sea!

Why not have an idyllic business photo shoot in Surrey by the water. The light and atmosphere by the water always creates a beautiful, calm environment that create a wonderful feeling to the photos.

Is water important to your business and wellbeing?

We all love a friend with a house in a beautiful location! Mindset Coach Jo Sawyers of Mastering Mums Mind, had her shoot in her friends lovely light, bright home near Bristol.

The house had lots of different spaces to allow for different set ups including Jo working, Jo having a coaching conversation, showing some fun and personality.

We could also go outside into the nearby woods and outdoor space, for even more variation.

Who do you know, who might have a nice space you could use?

If you have a very specific look in mind, or want a place all to yourself, then hiring a specific space for your shoot could be the way to go.

Brand Agency owner, Rob Fryer, hired The Base in Bordon, Hampshire. A wonderful space that has different areas we could use for several different set ups throughout Rob’s shoot.

Spaces that are light, bright and uncluttered provide the best backdrops.

If you like to keep things casual, you could have your shoot in a local café like Podcast expert Rachel. These are great for showing you working and client connection in a down to earth and genuine way.

Be mindful to pick one at a time that won’t be packed out as that can make getting the right photos a little tricky!

And finally, perhaps you want some to create a variety of photos in your favourite town or city, such as those I created for Relationship Coach Eleni, around different spots in Guildford. From bridges, to the river, to steps and glass buildings, there is a huge range of wonderful backdrops in a lovely compact area, creating the right vibe or feeling for any business.
