About this Essex Brand Photography Project
Laura needed some professional photos, showcasing her business, to use on her website and social media channels.
She had been relying on just one selfie on her About Us page. This lack of photos meant she found it difficult to create content and talk about her business on social media.
Laura told me how her confidence had really taken a knock following having her children. But she was determined to make her creative small business a success.
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside…
Laura’s brand shoot took place near the Heybridge Basin in Essex. As Laura wanted to show where she works and some behind the scenes photos of her creative work, we spent some time in her beautiful little home design studio. We then moved to the seawall near her house to capture some more relaxed photos of Laura and to show where she goes to help spark creativity.
We had a great time on the shoot. I hope you agree that Laura’s warm, engaging and creative personality comes shining through!
Creating confidence
I helped Laura to feel comfortable through my Focus, Frame and Flourish process. We took time to really think about the range of photos Laura needed, how she could use them and the difference they could make to her visibility and business.

We packed a lot into shoot day…
Laura’s varied gallery of photos included profile photos, storytelling photos, those with negative space to allow text to be overlayed, behind the scenes photos of Laura creating and those of all the unique details that make up Laura’s brand. We also had some great fun capturing Laura jumping up in the air outside!
